President asks Jubilee affiliate parties to unite under JAP

He added that the funds allocated to primary schools have also been increased.

“From this financial year, the Government raised capitation for primary schools from Sh1200 to Sh1500 per pupil per year. In high schools, the funding per student per year has also been increased,” the President said.

On tea farming, President Kenyatta assured farmers of the Government’s commitment to look for markets for their produce, especially in Africa.

“In my visit to Algeria from which I returned yesterday, we discussed this matter extensively,” President Kenyatta said.

Senator Kiraitu assured the President and the Deputy President of the support of the people of Meru, saying they will back them all the way.

President Kenyatta concluded the first day of his visit in Meru County by addressing wananchi at Timau where he urged governors to support the national Government’s initiatives to improve the health sector.

President Kenyatta will address public gatherings at Kagaine Town in Tigania West, Mikinduri in Tigania East
and Mutuati in Igembe North on Saturday. He will also visit and issue title deeds at Maili Tatu in Igembe Central and Maua in Igembe South.
