The officer, Christopher Gatera, and his co accused Samuel Maina were paraded before Chief magistrate Emily Ominde at the Makadara Law Courts where they denied the charges.
It is alleged that they committed the offense in Kayole. The court ordered the suspects to deposit a cash bail of Sh50,000 each to secure their release pending the hearing on February 19 next year.
The incident is the third in just two weeks which has drawn anger from women leaders in the country, including Cecil Mbarire who chairs the Kenya Women Parliamentarian Association.
