North Mugirango MP Charles Mongare, Anami Lisamula from Shinyalu and Sirisia’s John Waluke claimed that Odinga was being held hostage by some Luo Nyanza leaders.
“We are now urging the party leader not to go into a boardroom and came out with names and then purport those are now the officials of the party,” Mongare said.
Lisamula added; “We appreciate the leadership of Raila Odinga but there are few people who want to take him captive but we are telling them that we will not let them.”
“We are telling them to go back to the drawing board and look at what they alleging. We have invested a lot of resources in ODM and they cannot tease us, let them watch us carefully,” Waluke held.
Kakamega County Woman Representative Rachel Ameso defended allegations that Namwamba had criticised the party’s referendum push during a public harambee held in her region.
“Ababu was confronted by some party supporters who wanted to know what is the leadership of ODM since the Kasarani debacle so Ababu had to defend himself by saying everybody knows in Kenya that Ababu is the person fit to be the Secretary General,” Ameso explained.
