NAIROBI, Kenya, July 2 – The driver of one of the vehicles that was used to ferry attackers in Mpeketoni has been charged with the murder of 12 people.

Dyana Salim however denied the charge when he appeared before Mombasa High Court judge Edward Mureithi.

The court has ordered him to be remanded in custody until Monday when a ruling on his bail application will be made.

Salim’s charges follow those of Lamu Governor Issa Timamy who was last Thursday charged with murder, forceful transfer of population and terrorism.
