Defence Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo commended the Kenya Air Force for their commitment to duty, devotion and professionalism while undertaking their duties of securing the Kenyan airspace.
She said the courage and determination of the Kenya Air Force contributed to the Kenya Defence Forces achievements.
The Chief of Defence Forces General Julius Karangi thanked the Government for its continuous support to the defence forces.
He said the Kenya Air Force and the Kenya Defence Forces at large will continue performing their duties with professionalism, patriotism and loyalty to the country.
Kenya Air Force Commander, Major General Joff Otieno, highlighted several accomplishments of the Force since its inception, saying despite various challenges the Force continues to uphold its mission of defending the Kenyan airspace.
He said the lessons and experiences of the last 50 years provide a foundation upon which the next generation of officers and airmen must use to propel the force to greater heights.
The first indigenous Kenya Air Force, Commander Dedan Gichuru, enumerated the achievements of the Kenya Defence Forces, especially the Kenya Air Force since its inception.
