NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 2 – Six suspected gangsters were shot dead in two separate robbery incidents in Nairobi on Saturday night.

According to police, five of them were gunned down after trying to steal tyres from Express Kenya in Industrial Area in Nairobi.

Nairobi Police chief Benson Kibue says the sixth was a mugger, who was killed near Fig Tree in Ngara.

Kibue says the five thugs had tied watchmen and loaded the tyres onto a truck when they were confronted by police.

This comes as numerous crime cases continue to be reported in Nairobi and its environs, with the recent being a pilot who was killed by unknown people and his body dumped in a septic tank at his home in Nairobi’s Karen area.

The pilot, David Macharia was based at the Wilson Airport, having retired from the Kenya Air Force.
