MPs in the committee agreed to form a working team with the audit agency that will be charged with analysing the progress made in unearthing the intrigues behind the project whose total cost has ranged from the initial Sh220 billion to Sh327 billion, to Sh347 billion and then Sh447.5 billion and finally the much hyped Sh1.3 trillion.
“Everybody sees this as another Anglo-leasing, another Goldenberg. Others have even said that it is ten times bigger than both Anglo-leasing and Goldenberg. We need to conclude this matter and give Kenyans a report,” said Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi.
