His sentiments were echoed by KNUT National Chairman Mudzo Nzili who urged TSC to fast track the promotion of the 6,675 teachers who have legitimate claims.
“We are in agreement that the 6, 675 teachers need to be promoted. The TSC should move with haste and engage the relevant government body to ensure that funds are available for this,” he said.
KNUT on Monday shelved an intended strike notice after the TSC invited its officials for talks.
They had planned to declare a labour dispute in accordance with a decision made during the Annual Delegates Congress.
The resolution was put off after the talks were called.
