Ruto has been accused of orchestrating the violence by organising a network of young men who allegedly committed the atrocities in Rift Valley.
According to the charges, he financed and provided logistical support to these young men as an ‘anointed leader of the Kalenjin people’.
He has already pleaded innocence in the matter after being accused of murder, deportation and persecution.
Khan also played another video clip where Ruto spoke of how his name had been tarnished at the international sphere as a result of the trials.
“I think being dragged through the mud is an understatement. An international tag that you kill people, cause them to lose their lives and you destroy property is not easy to walk with,” said Ruto in the clip.
