Death toll in Kenya mall siege rises to 68: Red Cross

WESTGATE-SOLDIER-INJUREDNAIROBI, Sep 22 – At least 68 people are now confirmed to have been killed in an ongoing Nairobi shopping mall siege, Kenya Red Cross said on Sunday, after nine bodies were recovered.

The bodies were taken out the mall shortly after Kenya troops launched an assault on cornered Somali militants, who are still holding hostages inside the sprawling building, updating an earlier toll of 59.
