NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 23 – Political activities have been intensified across the country with only 10 days to go before Kenyans go to the polls to elect their fourth President.

On Friday morning Jubilee Alliance presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to meet Muslim leaders at the Sir Ali Sports Ground in Nairobi to convince them to support him after spending most of the week campaigning upcountry.

He will later meet matatu operators at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani.

His running mate William Ruto and Narc leader Charity Ngilu will be leading campaigns in Makueni and Machakos counties.

According to schedule released by the Jubilee Alliance campaign secretariat, Ruto and Ngilu will address rallies at Kambuu in Kibwezi constituency and Mavindini in Makueni.

They will then head to Machakos County where they will visit Mwala, Masinga town and Kinyui in Kangundo.

On the other hand, CORD principals led by Raila Odinga will be campaigning in Narok before heading to Kisii county for a series of rallies.

The Odinga campaign team says the PM will then fly to Kisii County where he is expected to address rallies in Rigoma and Nyanturaga.

The Kisii rally comes barely a week after the Kenyatta staged a two-day campaign tour of the region and scooped the endorsement of former cabinet minister Simeon Nyachae.

He will end his campaign day with a major rally in Kericho County at the historic Kapkatet Stadium.

Amani Coalition led by Musalia Mudavadi will be campaigning in West Pokot.

Eagle Alliance presidential candidate Peter Kenneth will take his vote hunt to Meru County.

Kenneth will hold a road show in Meru County through Igoji, Kanyakine, Ntharene, Nkubu, Kariene, Meru Town, Makutano, Ruiri, Kianyai, Muthara, Karama, Kangeta, Maili Tatu, Maua, Lari, Mutuati, Antubetwe and Athi market.

Narc Kenya presidential candidate Martha Karua will begin her 3-day tour of the Kisii County with a series of rallies and road shows starting with Birongo, Kheumbu, Nyanturago, Nyamache, Mogonga, Kenyenya, Etago and wind up in Ikoba.
