He said that the government was commitment to providing security to all Kenyans especially in the run-up to the general elections, and called on all communities to co-exist harmoniously.

The PM spoke while addressing a public rally in Transmara, Narok County where two people lost their lives on Friday in criminal incidents.

He announced that the para-military General Service Unit (GSU) will be deployed in the area to beef up cross-border security.

Odinga’s remarks followed requests by Minister for National Heritage William ole Ntimama and Narok South MP Nkoidila ole Lankas that the government addresses insecurity in the area.

The legislators said ODM was the only party that was well placed to address challenges facing Kenyans.

On the coming elections, PM urged eligible Kenyans to utilise the remaining days and register as voters.
