, NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 19 – Miguna Miguna, the controversial former advisor to Prime Minister Raila Odinga kicks off a countrywide tour on Wednesday to promote his 614-page political memoirs, Peeling Back the Mask.
Miguna said on Sunday that the two week tour will take him to 11 counties, before he completes the circuit at a later day.
The Prime Minister’s critic returned to Kenya on August 16 after a one-month holiday in Canada, just a day after releasing the controversial book.
The tour starts in Nakuru on Wednesday August 22 between 10 am and 12 pm; Kericho between 2 pm and 4pm and Kisumu on the morning of the 23rd.
From there, the author will go to Mombasa for an appearance on the morning of August 25.
Miguna’s second week of the book tour will commence in Nyeri on Monday August 27 between 10 am and 12 pm.
The next day, he will travel to Murang’a for another morning engagement before moving on to Embu and Meru the day after.
On Thursday, August 30, Miguna will be in Machakos and make an appearance in Thika 24 hours later.
The first leg of the ‘A Quest for Justice Book Tour’ wraps in Nairobi, with signings at three book stores on the morning of September 2.
Miguna launched his sensational book mid last month after which he gave wide ranging interviews in which he made grave allegations against the Prime Minister and his close associates.
During the launch of his book, he said: “Every single leader here, I can take to The Hague. I have it right here. And I am saying come baby come…when I decide in a 500-page book not to say what the Orange Democratic Movement did in the PEV (post election violence), they should thank me, kneel before me and kiss my feet. That is how angry I am when I see some people running around like idiots.”
The Prime Minister has said he will not take any legal action against his ex-advisor.
