NAKURU, Kenya, July 23- An estate in Nakuru is in shock following the bizarre murder of twin babies aged just three months.
The bodies of the boy and girl were found dumped in a sewage trench in the town’s Kivumbini Estate early Saturday.
The babies were reportedly stolen from their parents’ house on Friday when their mother was out to the shops.
A search involving residents and the police was mounted immediately after the babies were reported missing but only a shawl was discovered a few metres from the mother’s house.
Calls started streaming in informing the searchers that the babies had been seen in different locations including a local hospital but all of the leads turned out to be hoax calls.
The mother who delivered the babies through Caesarean-section was speechless as she watched police officers retrieve the bodies of her first born toddlers.
Divisional police boss, Mr Johnston Ipara said the matter was being investigated.
