In Nyahururu, Administration Police officers on Friday impounded over 10,000 litres of illicit brew and confiscated brewing equipment at an illegal brewing den at Vietnam village, Kwa Wanjiku area within the district.
The operation led by Nyahururu District AP Commandant Daniel Masaba was intended to scale down consumption of the brews and enforce compliance of the newly enacted Alcohol Control Act.
The suspected brewers however managed to escape the police dragnet leaving behind the brews.
