Fake cash worth Sh200m netted in Ngong

NGONG, Kenya, May 21 – Police in Ngong have arrested three suspects with fake money worth Sh200 million.

According to the area police chief Mohammed Farah, a Kenyan woman and two Congolese men were found in possession of two metallic boxes one filled with one thousand shillings note whole the other contained dollars of different amounts.

He says it is the largest ever amount of fake money found.

He also said they are seeking for bank help to calculate the money which they could not finish counting on their own.

The money was found in a house at an isolated area roughly one kilometre from Ngong Police station.

Two coffins for infants also containing money were found in the house.

The three suspects are due to appear in court on Monday.
