Besigye finally arrives in Uganda

, KAMPALA, May 12 – Ugandan opposition leader Kizza Besigye flew back home on Thursday from Kenya, 24 hours after being prevented from doing so, an aide who was travelling with him told AFP.

"We have arrived at Entebbe airport," Carole Nyangsi told AFP when she answered Besigye\’s personal telephone, referring to Uganda\’s main airport outside the capital Kampala.

"We are in the VIP lounge," she said, adding that she had accompanied the opposition leader when he came to Kenya for specialised medical treatment after being assaulted by police during a protest.
