LONDON, Nov 23 – Prince William will marry his fiancee Kate Middleton at London\’s Westminster Abbey on April 29 next year, St James\’s Palace announced Tuesday.
"The venue has long associations with the royal family — it is in many ways the royal family\’s church — and of course with Prince William personally," said Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, private secretary to the 28-year-old prince.
The abbey, an imposing Gothic church that has been the British monarchy\’s coronation church for centuries, was the venue of the funeral of the late Diana, princess of Wales, William\’s mother, who died in a car crash in 1997.
