, VENTERSDORP, Apr 5 – South Africa\’s slain far-right leader Eugene Terre\’Blanche will be buried on his farm on Friday, provincial government authorities said on Monday.
A delegation led by the provincial head of North West province was told of funeral arrangements when they met the Terre\’Blanche family this morning.
"The family told us that the funeral will take place on Friday at noon, at a local church here in Ventersdorp," said David Sengiwe, an official from the office of the premier.
The 69-year-old leader of the extremist Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB, Afrikaner Resistance Movement) was brutally killed by black workers on his farm on Saturday evening, sparking fears of renewed race tensions.
President Jacob Zuma has strongly condemned his murder, calling for politicians not to inflame race tensions after the killing of the fiery leader.
