NAROK, Kenya, Feb 1 – Police have recovered another cache of firearms in Narok town.
The weapons were loaded in a container suspected to belong to a local businessman.
A contingent of police officers is currently conducting a major security operation in the area.
Two months ago, another cache of firearms were recovered in the same area and five suspects including a couple were arrested and charged in court. The Administration Police Chief Armourer Joseph Maritim was also charged over the recovered arms.
The five suspects were last Friday released on a stringent bail terms after the Office of the Attorney General had initially opposed to their released citing national security.
