Pakistan, Sep 18 – A suspected suicide bomb tore through a market place, killing five people and wounding many more in a small Shiite-majority town in volatile northwest Pakistan on Friday, police said.
"Five people were killed. There are many wounded," Qamar Khan, a police official in the nearby garrison city of Kohat, told AFP.
Vehicles and shops were destroyed in the force of the explosion, he said.
"Five people are confirmed dead in the apparent suicide blast," said police spokesman Fazal Naeem.
"The blast took place at a bus stop where passenger buses and coaches travel to other towns," he said.
