How has your journey been so far as an artist<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s been a remarkable journey. Born into a musical family, I explored various instruments and studied accounting in university. But my passion for music persisted, and my family supported me. Now, I’m pursuing my dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How would you describe your music style or genre?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afrobeat is at the core of my music. It’s a fusion of Afro Fusion, Afro Pop, Afro R&B, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you tell us about your creative process?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I draw inspiration from personal experiences and ideas recorded as voice notes. In the studio, I create melodies, write songs, and collaborate with my producer. Sometimes, we even create songs from scratch, like “Tatata.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your reaction to the love you received for “Tatata”?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s been amazing! The support and recognition have been a dream come true. This is just the beginning of my goal for global domination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How was it having Jason Derulo remix “Tatata”?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s incredible! Jason has been an inspiration since my school days. When my team reached out to him, I was blown away by his involvement. I’m honoured to have his contribution to the remix.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who have been the biggest influences on your music?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t pinpoint one person because my sound is diverse. I grew up listening to Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, Mario, Ne-yo and Usher in the R&B genre. In Africa, artists like 2Face Idibia, P-Square, Wizkid and Davido have also shaped my transition into Afrobeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s been amazing. After dropping freestyles consistently, I caught the attention of Jazzy, who saw potential in my sound and consistency. The journey has been challenging but incredible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you hope listeners will take away from your music?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want listeners to connect with my music on a personal level, to feel the emotions and experiences behind it. I aim to create timeless music that can be enjoyed for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you share any upcoming projects or releases?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s a lot in the pipeline, but I’d rather not reveal too much. Just know that there’s plenty of beautiful music coming this year. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you recall a memorable or inspiring performance?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One particular performance in Uganda stands out. As I was singing “Tatata,” several ladies spontaneously joined me on stage to dance. It was exhilarating but also a bit overwhelming, considering the limited space. It was a memorable and fun experience, although I was slightly worried for my safety!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you connect with your fans and build a loyal following?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connecting with my fans and building a loyal following is important to me. I believe in sharing my personal self with them. For example, during my visit to Kenya, I tried a local dish called ugali and sukuma wiki, and I thought it was delicious. I decided to make a video of it and posted it on my social platforms. By sharing personal experiences like this, I feel fans can get to know the real me beyond my music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you tell us about any collaborations or features that you have done with other musicians?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I mean i don’t want to let the cat out of the bag but there is a lot of that this year so…..some Nigerian artists you know i cannot say but I what i can say is that they’re just gonna be unexpected!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you see the music industry evolving in the next few years, and how do you plan to adapt to those changes?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my opinion, social media will continue to play a significant role in shaping the music industry in the coming years. It has become the primary platform for artists to connect with their fans, share their music, and stay updated on the latest trends and news. To adapt to these changes, I believe it’s crucial to maintain a strong presence on social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you ever had a memorable encounter with a fan?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, definitely! I’ve had numerous memorable and fun encounters with fans, particularly in East Africa. It’s hard to pinpoint one specific encounter because there have been so many incredible experiences. I genuinely love the energy and support from fans in East Africa, and I would love to come back again in the future. Shout out to Kenya!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you like to spend your free time when you’re not making music?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I’m not making music, I enjoy engaging in various activities. Firstly, I’m a trader, so I often spend my free time trading. Apart from that, I like to unwind by watching movies or playing video games. It’s a great way for me to relax and take my mind off everything. Speaking of movies, there’s a particular sitcom called “Friends” that I absolutely love. I’ve watched it multiple times, and I believe it will go down as one of the funniest sitcoms ever made. Additionally, I also prioritize fitness and spend time at the gym to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

don’t think i’ve had any any any yet but but but i’ve had a lot of experiences i’ve just not gotten into the studio to about them yeah okay<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To maintain a healthy work-life balance, I prioritize not letting things get to me and try my best not to take things too personally. As somewhat of an introvert, there are times when I prefer solitude. For instance, when I’m trading, I enjoy being alone in my room with my laptop, analyzing charts, or watching a movie. This solitude allows me to recharge and have a clear mindset. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are some of your favorite books, movies, or TV shows?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That would definitely be Jollof rice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
