Alicia Keys has given birth to another baby boy.<\/p>\n
The ‘Girl on Fire’ hitmaker, who already has four-year-old son Egypt Daoud with husband Swizz Beatz, welcomed their second child, Genesis Ali Dean, into the world at 1.52am on Saturday morning (27.12.14).<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old star and the music produced announced the news via their Instagram profiles today (28.12.14), writing: “The joy of joy is joy!! It’s a boy!! we are so grateful!! #blessings!!”<\/p>\n
The tot weighed in at six pounds, five ounces, according to PEOPLE.com.<\/p>\n
Alicia felt energetic throughout her pregnancy and recently admitted her husband wanted her to slow down.<\/p>\n
She said: “I feel really good. My husband was just saying, he was like, ‘Baby, I really need you to like get some rest,’ because I’m just invigorated. I’m just moved.”<\/p>\n
The singer, who announced she was pregnant in July, also previously revealed Egypt was “super excited” about the idea of having a sibling.<\/p>\n
She said: “I think he’s super excited because he’s not going to be the youngest anymore. He’s always kissing my belly.”<\/p>\n
Rapper Swizz – who also has three other children, Prince Nasir, 14, Kasseem Jr., seven, and Nicole, six, from previous relationships – also recently said: “I am very excited about having another child.<\/p>\n
