In time, those diagnosed with the disease will end up losing control of movements and may eventually be paralyzed so in an effort to raise awareness and funds for research, they came up with the challenge. If you&#8217;re interested in learning more about this or donating to their cause, you can check out the <strong><a title=\"ALS Association\" href=\"http:\/\/www.alsa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">ALS Association website<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Ice Bucket Challenge has gone viral with many celebrities taking part including Bill Gates, Justin Beiber and the ever controversial Charlie Sheen who, instead of pouring ice cold water, went for $10,000 instead which he donated to the ALS Association.
