Magdalene Takangiro story is one of resilience, beauty, and brilliance a journey from humble beginnings in Turkana County to the global runways of Paris Fashion Week.
Having started her education learning under trees in Turkana, Magdalene completed her high school studies in 2021 and went on to pursue a degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery at Kabarak University. It was here that her modeling journey began, as she was crowned Miss Kabarak University 2024 marking the start of a remarkable ascent in pageantry and fashion.

Her dedication and poise caught the attention of ISIS Models Africa and WAVE Management, leading to her professional debut at Paris Fashion Week, where she made history opening for Yves Saint Laurent (YSL)a rare honor for a new African face. This came after a challenging first season in Milan in early 2024 that fueled her determination to succeed on the international stage.
Now completing her studies, Magdalene will graduate on December 19, 2025, with a degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery a testament to her balance of intellect and artistry.
As she continues to break boundaries, Magdalene joins the movement to inspire and elevate new African talent.
She will appear at the Africa’s Next Super Model event on November 22, 2025, at Broadwalk, where the search for the continent’s next top model continues.
