The Mida Creek Hotel, Watamu: A Tranquil Escape

Located on the stunning coastline of Watamu, The Mid Creek Hotel is a true paradise for anyone looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. During my recent stay at the hotel, I was amazed by the breathtaking views, the welcoming staff, and the serene atmosphere.

Mida Creek is set on a stunning stretch of coastline, and its architecture and design blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. The buildings are painted in earthy tones that harmonize with the surrounding greenery, and dotted with beautiful gardens and palm trees. The hotel’s landscaping is perfectly manicured, creating a beautiful and tranquil environment for guests.

The hotel offers a range of accommodation options, they has six rooms which can accommodate up to 20 guests to suit different preferences. I stayed in one of their spacious and comfortable cottages, The Palm Deck which was equipped with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The room had a cozy bed with soft linen, air conditioning and a balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean.

The hotel’s restaurant serves a variety of delicious meals, including both local and international cuisine. The chefs use fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create their dishes, and the presentation is impressive. I especially enjoyed the seafood platter, which was a delightful mix of prawns, calamari, and fish. The bar was also well-stocked with a variety of drinks, and the bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly.

The Mid Creek Hotel has a variety of facilities to keep guests entertained. The hotel has a large swimming pool, which is surrounded by comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas. For those who are more active, the hotel offers a gym, snorkeling and diving trips, and there are many other water sports and activities to choose from.

The staff were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From the receptionist to the waiters and bartenders, everyone was attentive and professional.

The hotel’s staff take great care in maintaining the hotel’s facilities, ensuring that everything is spotless and in perfect condition. The hotel’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of its design and operation, creating a beautiful and unforgettable experience for guests.

I was impressed by the hotel’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The hotel operates under environmentally conscious policies, which include cutting back on water usage and cleaning products. Bed linen and towels are changed on the third day unless otherwise requested to conserve water.

The hotel also grows a selection of herbs onsite and sources organic products when possible. All the seafood served at the hotel is caught sustainably, straight from the ocean in front of you, ensuring a delicious and eco-friendly dining experience.
