Pretty Faces, Good Looks at The DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival

Life is better when you take time to let loose and kick back. Fun creates enthusiasm and energy.

An outdoor event with the sun shining brightly, is a recipe for good vibes. This year DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival once again welcomed thousands and thousands of food and music enthusiasts to the picturesque Gauteng’s Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit to celebrate a lively afternoon of fun and entertainment. South African Tourism is inviting the world to “come as you are and leave as you’ll never be again”.

With every outdoor event, every one puts on their best foot forward ready to show up and have a good time. We spotted some well put together ladies and gentlemen in colors we loved, and we loved what they wore to the Festival.

The DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival annual event celebrates food, music as well as the biggest local and global acts. The event was launched seven years ago and is dedicated to food and music lovers. After a two-year absence, the country’s ultimate food-and-music experience came back with a bang, bringing fun to Gauteng’s Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit over the Heritage Day weekend.

This year the artists on stage were Burna Boy, Angie Stone, Stereo MCs, Digable Planets and Babyface. South African superstars such as Simphiwe Dana, Zenzi Makeba Lee, Msaki and spoken-word maestro Lebo Mashile graced the stage too.

Flying to South Africa

Kenya Airways (KQ), Kenya’s national carrier, and South African Airways (SAA) enjoy a codeshare agreement that opens more destinations for seamless travel opportunities. Thanks to the code-sharing agreement, each airline can sell, under its code, flights operated by each other; South African Airways or Kenya Airways. SAA’s customers will continue to earn Voyager Miles on these new codeshare flights. The deal lets travellers combine flight segments and baggage on a single ticket.

Passengers from South Africa have more options to travel to African destinations, including Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Entebbe, Mombasa, and Kisumu. In contrast, KQ passengers immediately have more choices for travelling into Southern Africa, including Cape Town, Durban, Harare, and Lusaka.

KQ flies 3x daily from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to OR Tambo International Airport (21x in a week) and 6x weekly from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Cape Town International Airport (2 direct via Victoria Falls International Airport and 2 direct via Livingstone International Airport).
