What Your Butt Shape Says About How Healthy You Are

Your waistline is your lifeline!

Have you ever heard of this statement before? It is a scary statement when you think about it. It makes you want to change your diet and your bad habits immediately. It simply means that the size of your waistline can say a lot about your overall health and the chances of contracting a lifestyle disease like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease which can be mostly linked to your diet and lack of exercise are actually higher.

Following the same explanation, the shape of your butt can reveal something about how healthy you really are. It is not as alarming as the waistline since we are born with the butt shapes we have but it is worth noting whether we are on the right path when it comes to our overall health. So here we go:

There are 4 common butt shapes: Heart-Shaped or A-Shaped Butt, V-Shaped or Inverted Butt, Round or Circle Shaped Butt, Square or H-shaped Butt. This is what having any of these butt shapes says about how healthy you are…

1. The Heart-Shaped /A-Shaped Butt

If you have a heart-shaped butt, it means that your fat distribution collects around the lower portion of the butt and thighs and below the hip bones. This makes your butt widen below the hip bone resulting in a tapered look from the waist to the butt. Think J-lo.

Women with this butt shape tend to gain weight in the mid-section as they get older making them prone to heart disease. So, as you get older and start exercising less, it would be wise to visit your doctor regularly for checkups.

2. Square or H-shaped Butt

Having this butt shape may mean that you have an excess of fat around the love handles. Having hip dips, love handles, and high hip bones so that the part of your hip bone to your outer thigh looks like a straight line are the culprits here.

This butt shape could also mean that you have a weak core and this can actually lead to a low immune system.

The excess fat around the love handles could indicate that one has a higher risk for stroke or a heart attack.

3. Round or Circle Shaped Butt

Round/Circle/Bubble butt women have big, full, and circular butts. Just think of some of the Kardashian sisters. Women with round buttocks tend to be healthier overall.

A woman with a round butt shape will look curvy from behind. Round butts are brought about by having fuller hips and more fat distributions around all areas of the butt cheeks. The downside to having a round butt is that you cannot escape cellulite.

4. V-Shaped or Inverted Butt

This butt shape is common in older women and the main culprit is the changes in hormone levels and decreased levels of collagen. The space between your hips, having narrow hips and broader shoulders will also make you have the V- shape butt.

If your hips are narrow and shoulders wide, you might try eating a bit more protein as well as exercising.

You live and you learn something every day. So, what’s your butt shape?
