What if we normalized and treated breakfast as the most important meal of the day and while at it, popped a bottle of bubbly and poured into the most eye-catching flutes you’ll ever see, every single morning? Wouldn’t this be the start of a good day? With its effervescent fizz and golden sparkle, it can’t get any better than this.
Now picture this. 9 am bush breakfast with a one of a kind MOET & CHANDON IMPÉRIAL BRUT NV METHUSELAH (6 LTR) in one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve, voted in 2007 as the eighth wonder of the world and has consistently been voted among the best safari destination, Maasai Mara. Grandiose and resplendent right? Well, in the words of Charles Dickens, “Champagne is one of the elegant extras in life.”
This was the first time in history that the Moet & Chandon imperial Brut NV in 6 litre Methuselah size, was making an appearance in the Mara, and what a spectacular bottle of Moet it was, 8 times the size of a standard bottle.
The World’s most loved champagne Moët & Chandon recently partnered with Kempinski Hotels to create a seamless luxury safari experience in Maasai Mara, which was simply unforgettable and one for the books. Alexandre Helaine, Moët Hennessy Market Manager Eastern Africa led a team of Kenyan lifestyle content creators and guests to one of the best luxury camps in Maasai Mara, Olare Mara Kempinski for a three-day experience that captured and truly elevated safari experience.
There was nothing quite like it, from the fine bubbles of Moët stimulating the textures in your mouth to the absolute peace of immense vistas, and crisp fresh air… in the Mara amongst some of the most viewed animals in the world. The Lifestyle personalities and content creators on the trip led by @LuciaMusau , @FashionableStepMum , @VinieO , @SonalMaherali , and @pearlsandloaf all embodied the two brands, Moët & Chandon and Kempinski.
The guests flew down to the Mara in the morning and upon arrival, were received by the excellent team at Olare Mara Kempinski, led by Judy Matengo, the Director of Sales, who had prepared an elaborate champagne bush breakfast. This was the start of a 3-day free-flowing Moët for breakfast and lunch, Hennessy for sundowners in the bush and more Moët for dinner.
Moët & Chandon and Olare Mara Kempinski seek to highlight luxury in the wilderness by offering exquisite champagne enjoyed on the backdrop of roaring animals and a beautiful sunset or sunrise. From the outset, Moët Impérial set off on an epic journey, through challenge and opportunity, to become a universal icon of celebration, conquering new worlds and creating unforgettable moments filled with glamour and style.
Olare Mara, the venue for this seamless luxury, is a jewel in the land. Standing central to the private wilderness of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, and enjoying panoramic views across the rolling savannah, the Olare Mara Kempinski Safari Camp has been styled to offer the ultimate in luxury whilst staying true to the traditions of the classic safari. Each elegantly appointed tent has its own spacious bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, lounge and viewing deck. And, while promising every luxury, each tent delivers the authentic feel of an under-canvas safari experience – complete with the daily chattering of the monkeys and the nightly whooping of the hyenas … and the distant coughing of our resident lion prides.
The Honeymoon suite, which is the most outstanding tent by size and location, faces the famous River Ntiakitiak, where you get a glimpse of various animals sunbathing. The suite also comes with a plunge pool, exclusively for those who live in this tent.
An inspired fusion of khaki-canvas, mellow timber, and Maasai inspired décor, its central lounge and dining room promises panoramic views in the daytime and a welcoming log fire in the evening. On one side it opens on to a timbered deck with a water feature inspired by the Ntiakitiak River, on the other side is a sun deck and a timbered walkway that leads down into a shaded forest glade. Here you’ll find an intimate safari bar, the woodland clearing in which they light their nightly campfire. Above the lounge is a smaller private library lounge with an antique viewing telescope, and immediately adjacent there’s a charming safari boutique.
The evening game drives were all about drip and Moet and sundowners. From the meticulous winemaking processes that make Moet & Chandon champagnes exotic and luxurious wines to the stellar packaging they come in, it goes beyond saying that they are an embodiment of prestige, excellence, and luxury.
Moet was destined to become a superstar from the onset in history. Where royals toasted, where the art world danced with movie stars and fashion models mingled with rock stars, Moët Impérial was there.
“The new luxury consumer is seeking memorable and unique experiences; therefore, luxury brands are moving beyond products and offering unique experiences to these customers. Hence Moët & Chandon is pleased to partner with Olare Mara Kempinski to craft a memorable and luxurious experience in the bush,” Mr. Helaine said.
With access to the region’s most extensive vineyards and centuries of expertise, the Moët & Chandon name guarantees excellent and consistent quality through every bottle of Moet Imperial, Rose Imperial and Grand Vintage champagne. Moet is the champagne of those who live a fabulous life and have celebration as a part of their lifestyle.
The flagship of Moet & Chandon since 1869, Brut Imperial is the most accomplished and universal expression of its style. It reflects the diversity and complementarities of the three champagne grapes and the richness of the region’s best vineyards to reveal the magic of the world’s most loved champagne. The Moet Methuselah is presented inside a Moet & Chandon Wood Box.
