Eid al Adha, also known as the ‘feast of the sacrifice’ is the second of two Islamic holidays meant to honour Ibrahim for his willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to Allah. Muslims across the globe celebrate this day in all its splendour by preparing food which is shared amongst family, friends and the needy.
A lot of love, time and hard work goes into preparing all the traditional dishes made on this day and with mutton as the main attraction of this celebration,we prepared Chef Ali Mandry’s delicious swahili mutton Biryani.

As we continue to stay home and endure these unprecedented times, this is probably the best time to get inspired to make new dishes and test your culinary skills.

You don’t have to be a good cook, all you need to do is join the global movement #WithMe on YouTube where content creators and foodies have shared recipes and cooking tips that will transform your meals and bring comfort in these uncertain times.

We don’t know when all this will all be over, but I can tell you that if you marinate and fry some mutton with the right spices, add some garlic, ginger and serve it with some rice, it will deliver bliss. Every time!!

As you celebrate your Eid at home, connect and cook with us on #YouTubeKe, #WithMe, #CookwithChefAli and happy cooking.
