It is clear some people in govt are working in cahoots with the Chinese. The aim seems to make money out of the TV companies, be able to switch off TV anytime e.g. during election debates, or censor content the conspirators do not want delivered. It is dangerous for our future. It is happening in China and in Ethiopia. TV stations should be free to form their own digital carrier or channel their content through a carrier of their choice. KBC and the Chinese should generate their content and deliver it; just like NTV etc. End of controversy while our freedoms and choices are protected.

Why Not parallel broadcasting of digital and analogue signals. It has been done in Britain successfully not because they are a developed country because it is the best option. Migrating from analogue to digital need to be done in four phases

    0. Switch ON digital signal.
    1. Analogue and Digital signal running in parallel for 1 year
    2. Major cities analogue to be switched off.
    3. The whole country goes digital by January 2015.

Market/Competition Issues – Allow media houses to run their own infrastructures. We have the Law to safeguard the nation against any rogue media houses so let the Media houses be.

Innovation – Enable small content provider to run on any digital signal service provider at a fair charge. If the digital signal service providers are only restricted to two (2) then we are holding back competition and keeping the prices for start ups high.

    Wake Up People.
