The problem we have on our roads now, especially the big highways, is the presence of thousands of large trucks. The railway is hardly functioning and most imports/exports have to be moved by truck to the interior. The presence of such a large number of trucks damages roads, increases congestion and basically slows down the entire road network. These days, when you drive from Nairobi – Mombasa, you will be lucky to do 100kph.
