If one took a calendar and looked at the days the ICC made the concessions and also looked at the dates of what was going on at the UN, one can see a direct correlation. It is abundantly clear that the ICC is not an independent institution. It is important that leaders of the so called “free world” realise that they can’t fool all the African people all the time!!

The three absentee see a defeat of their hardliner position at the state parties meeting where the A.U position will be supported by the Arab world block, south America and Asia. To avoid defeat and embarrassment, they propose peace meal amendment that ensures the Kenyan cases proceed as they are.The A.U ought to demand for far reaching changes in the office of the OTP and a fresh investigation of the current cases;nothing less!

The ICC had better brace itself. This upcoming meeting is not going to be a peaceful one, that I can assure you. Unless some spectacular behind the scene deals are done within the next few days, the AU demands will either have to be met or they walkout.
