With this kind of prosecution witnesses, does Ruto require defence witnesses???

You know, after reading the article the same thought crossed my mind. What exactly has Bensouda been playing at??? I’m beginning to believe the theory that she probably never expected Ruto to come to the Hague in the first place.

It started with the silent video. I wish ODM and PNU were made to testify in a Kenyan court as a group. Remember Martha Karua, after she jumped ship she publicly pointed fingers at Kibaki, whom she had vehemently defended, claiming that PNU fraudulently acquired votes.

Miguna Miguna naye pia, same fate, only he turned on Raila as well as talking about PEV planning within ODMs hardliners.

Now, to get to the truth, the best thing would be… Get these people to talk in front of camera and a judge. But we are still looking for DV. Darth Vader.

DV did do some wrong things, however, someone needs to tell me
        – how 1 billion procurement was not pre-audited
        – if this was so important, did DV hide it from auditors and other managers
        – are Kenyans going to wait for Judges to straighten up in order to get justice?

This is what the OTP got after not learning the lessons of the Lubanga case: do not rely on commercial intermediaries to procure and prepare your witnesses.

After 3 witnesses, Ruto has only had positive, exonerating mention. I believe that the witnesses had been prepared with incriminating tales but have decided to be non-committal under oath, or they have developed cold-feet after seeing the tenacity with which Karim Khan grills them. Even the judge seems tired of the hearsay and vagueness.

Yes, with such witnesses, Ruto doesn’t require defence witnesses. Bensouda is speechless. These are her own witnesses giving the best defence to Ruto !

I think these witnesses cud have told Ruto what had happened during and prior to elections here at home since he was busy with the pentagon team in campaign strategy.. Av observe the three witnesses and they have nothing to link him to last election chaos.
