My husband and I don’t live together and we love the arrangement, says US Actress Gwyneth Paltrow

Every day we discover new things about what keeps marriages together and the latest one is truly peculiar but worth considering.

In a new interview with The Sunday Times, Award winning American actress, singer, author and businesswoman Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that her husband and her, don’t live together full time, explaining that he stays with her four nights a week before going back to his own home.

“Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” she said.

Paltrow also added that she’s discussed the situation with her intimacy teacher Michaela Boehm, who gave her stamp of approval, saying that it helps give “polarity” to the relationship.

This “strange” arrangement with her husband of nine months also includes a room for Paltrow’s ex-husband Chris Martin. They go on vacation together with Chris.

Paltrow noted their arrangement is largely to make the blending of their families a bit more gradual, as she shares daughter Apple and son Moses with ex-husband and Coldplay front man Chris Martin, while Falchuk also has two children from a prior marriage. Martin and girlfriend Dakota Johnson also participated in what Paltrow called “a big family honeymoon” in the Maldives after Paltrow and Falchuk’s wedding in September, while Martin maintains a standing room in Paltrow’s home.

Meanwhile, Tv host Meghan McCain has a strong opinion about this arrangement, calling it “rich people stuff.” “What if you can’t afford two houses? Come on, you guys,” she said. “Everybody’s different … I don’t try and judge anybody else’s marriage because you don’t know what goes on and what works for people. But the rent alone would be enough to make me angry … so I probably wouldn’t do it.”
