Taking time to decorate your walls means that you do care about your living space. To add a bit of effortless difference, a couple of beautiful  Tonga baskets to the rescue!

We can’t always have our spaces looking the same. A bit of difference is what makes us unique. It is a good thing then that Tonga baskets have different, unique designs. There’s quite a variety of patterns and sizes to choose from.

On the downside though, Tonga baskets can be quite expensive. This is partly due to the amount of work that goes into making them. It takes approximately two weeks to complete a basket of about 35cm wide hence the prices vary with size. The wider/bigger it is, the more expensive the basket will be. Also, they have to shipped from Zambia to different countries and this alone cannot be cheap.

It is important to note that the Tonga women grow their own ilala palm (raw material) for making the Tonga baskets.

But on the upside, you can never go wrong with Tonga baskets. They are uniquely beautiful and they will always add that certain je ne sais quoi to your space…whether it is your livingroom, bedroom, dinng area, balcony, kitchen or even your store, restaurant , work space…name it!
