Dubai has often been ranked as one of the top 5 most visited places in the world that is famous for the high-rising architectural wonders and excellent collection of resorts and spas. It is a mix of some of the most luxurious hotels, coupled with shopping and food that will enchant you, beach, deserts, and undoubtedly some of the most amazing architecture that will overdose your senses. Every piece of this city is indeed Instagram worthy.

The beauty of Dubai absolutely knows no bounds. It has countlessly proved year in, year out to the world that there is truth in Sheikh Mohammed’s statement: “In Dubai, we don’t wait for things to happen. We make them happen.” With an excellent network of roads and highways connecting neighboring Arab countries, and regular cruises to and from Dubai, the emirate is easily accessible by air, land, and sea.

Here are 7 places to add on your list in 2019, based on our recent trip to Dubai:

Dubai Marina

This artificial three-kilometre canal is home to one of the best skylines in Dubai, which is famous for its beautiful skyscrapers. Built in 2013, Marina is an affluent residential neighbourhood with a stretch of luxury shops and Al fresco eating spots. You can hop onto a Yellow Boat for a 60-minute ride, take in the spectacular modern skyline, vibrant residential development and catch a glimpse of some exclusive yachts in dock.

Burj Al Arab

A trip to Dubai is incomplete without a picture with the Burj Al Arab in the background. This third tallest hotel in the world architecture mimics the sail of a ship and sits on its own man-made island in Dubai’s harbor. It prides itself as a beacon of modern Dubai, characterized by the finest hospitality you can ever experience. The hotels’ helipad has seen several stunts performed on it including the 2005 tennis match between Andre Agassi and Roger Federer. During their stay, guests at the Burj Al Arab have a 24-carat gold iPad and a Roll Royce at their disposal.

If your adventure bug bites, take the Shark Dive and swim with the world’s largest collection of Sand Tiger sharks.

Souks of Deira

This is the place to discover the city’s shopping heritage. Take your bargaining skills and step into the souls of Deira. In these maze-like markets, you will find everything from 24 karat gold bridal jewelry, Arabian textile, Argan oil and paintings of the Dubai creek. In addition, do not worry, all that glitters in Deira is real gold and you get a certificate of warranty.

At the Spice Souk, you will find a wide range of spices, herbs, incense and traditional medicinal products. With top chefs, home cooks and savvy expats all swearing by their personal picks among the Spice Souk’s colourful sacks of spices, herbs, rice and fruit, the market hall is a must-visit for those wanting to explore Dubai’s exotic side. Desert Safari

Just because you’re visiting in summertime doesn’t mean you have to miss out on this quintessential Dubai experience. You cannot go to Dubai and not go for a Safari desert adventure. Less than 20 minutes driving from the modernist streets of Downtown Dubai, you can experience the marvels of the Arabian Desert, the original tourist attraction of Dubai.
