Lamu Island over the years, has often been described by many as one magical place that you should visit at least once in your lifetime. It is a place like no other, a peaceful tropical island where life is lived at it’s own relaxed rhythm, but a place whose history is as mysterious and fascinating as the winding streets of it’s medieval stone town. We hope this endorsement will help continue putting Lamu on the map. Essence prides itself as the most popular, well respected, and largest circulated black women’s magazine in history. Add Lamu to your bucket list and you wont regret it, advises Sharon (all photos courtesy of This Is Ess on Instagram).
