Wong Out in Grand Style, The Susan way

” There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.”

Susan Wong’s splendid, magnolious, illustrious career at Capital FM came to an end with a bang as she threw a party for her close friends and colleagues to say goodbye in an evening Dubbed Wong Out. The invite only party held in Loresho, saw many heap praises on Susan who has worked in various capacities at Capital over the past 11 years, the most recent being Lifestyle Editor. Speaker after speaker had nothing but kind words for Susan.

The hostess, Susan Wong was looking like a tall glass of Belaire.
Show them what your mama gave you especially when you have company. Just ask Diana Gacheri, Duncan Ndirangu and Angela Muiruri.
Mr Dapper Gentleman was ready for his Capital Lifestyle Editorial fashion spread.
Let’s feature in a toothpaste ad while at the party, shall we? Seems to be what Sharon Mundia, Mondy and Kui Kabala were pausing for.
” Cheers to the weekend, I will drink to that, ” David Muba.

The surprise of the evening I must admit was the appearance of DJ CK who came to bid farewell to one of his favorite employees. He almost stole the show with not only his entrance but speech too, which was laced with the usual off the cuff punches on anyone he saw/ spotted that evening. I mean this the CK we all have come to know though- never a dull moment.

DJ CK truly paid a glowing tribute to Susan Wong.

The emotional speeches had Susan in tears all through out as everyone recounted her work experiences and ethics not just at Capital but through her entire stay in Kenya. It was not just all about tearing up though, there was so much fun, food and drinks and the music was flowing all through out.

Front row led by Willis Chimano got it right. Back row led by Susan Wong were seeing the stars, literally.
Brian Owango clearly understood his duty, to handle it like the prized possession that bottle and its contents were.
The February glow was good on Beatrice Muba, Capital Group MD Somoina Kimojino and Tabbz Waithaka.
DJ Adrian and Victor Okwaro happy to be at the party.
Nana Muriithi decided to rub her skin care routine on Francis Mbatha.
The Belaire squad.
It seemed like Shiv Simani was getting tips from Mutua Matheka on how to be the next bearded photographer.
The timeless expression of showing love and appreciation as best captured by Pinky Ghelani Raj, Susan Wong and Suzie Wokabi.

What an unforgettable Wong Out. You shall be missed but your presence will always be felt all around us. We wish you all the best in your journey. These great memories are here with us, via the pictures. (photos courtesy of Capital Lifestyle)
