Nairobi’s New Attraction That Will Literally Lift Your Spirits

Two Rivers Development Ltd has a new attraction that will literally lift your spirits.

On Thursday 28th February 2019, Two Rivers mall opened Africa’s largest observation wheel to the public. The Eye of Kenya beat out the previous record holder, Cape Wheel in South Africa.

The wheel with 40 air conditioned cabins each with a sitting capacity of six passengers will smoothly take you to 60 Meters above the ground in safety and comfort.

At the official opening, guests were given the opportunity to experience the Eye of Kenya which boasts a stunning panoramic view of Nairobi City and Two Rivers mall particularly in the night.

“It’s a great pleasure to be here and to see real investment. As the tourism industry continues to grow, we need to ensure we are offering tourists experiences that are memorable and unique,” said President Uhuru Kenyatta who graced the launch.

Centum non-executive director and Two Rivers Development Ltd chairman Dr. Chris Kirubi who was also in attendance said, “This was a dream I had and seeing it come to life has been a true honour. I appreciate the hard work and dedication of the team.”

The wheel makes two revolutions taking a total of 14 minutes. Tickets are 500 Kenya Shillings per person.
