The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club over the weekend launched a new restaurant, The Colobus Grill; a haute cuisine dining experience for those seeking an exceptional culinary experience in Nanyuki.

Renovated from the former private members’ room, the restaurant promises to offer a selection of grilled dishes all farmed from the nearby town of Nanyuki in collaboration with the community surrounding the Club.

Speaking at the launch, an elated Laurent Chaudet, General Manager, Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, said their vision was to restore the essence of fine dining glamour paired with an exceptional culinary experience in the town.

With live stations, guests get to watch the chefs prepare gourmet meals as they enjoy the aroma from the flames and taste the bold, smoky flavors of the perfectly cooked dishes infused with locally sources ingredients.

The launch of The Colobus Grill brings the total number of restaurants at the Mount Kenya Safari Club to two. It also marks the beginning of a series of events celebrating Mount Kenya Safari Club’s Diamond Jubilee across the year.

A new spa is set to open in spring 2019 and a lounge with an open-air terrace overlooking the expansive Mount Kenya forest.
