Regarded as one of the best camera-phones in existence, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, has finally arrived in Kenya.
According to Engadget’s Jaimie Rigg, “There’s no such thing as the perfect smartphone, but the Mate 20 Pro is arguably as close as you can get right now.” That’s pretty high praise.
The camera-phone, which launched in October 2018 to some markets, will be available for sale from Monday in Kenya, nationwide.
Following the success of the Huawei Y9 in the country, the Chinese company hopes that the Mate 20 Pro will captivate premium users.
So what are three things that makes this camera-phone special?
Revolutionary Matrix Camera System
The device is equipped with a 40MP main camera, a 20MP ultra wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. Together, the trio of Leica lenses supports a wide range of focal lengths enabling it to mimic the results from professional cameras. This wider perspective creates a sense of spaciousness and a three dimensional effect to the images. The new camera system also supports macro distance, which produces crisp images of objects that are laces as closed as 2.5 cm from the lens.
Tired of running out of battery? Forgot your charger? The device supports Wireless Reverse Charge, which enables it to work as a power bank for selected electronic devices supporting wireless charging. All you need to do is place the phone that needs to be charged back-to-back with the Mate 20 Pro.
**available on Mate 20 pro only.
The Mate 20 series also features an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The company has evolved the design of its in-screen fingerprint sensor to achieve better speed and success rates. It can pinpoint the location of a user’s finger on the screen, and remove the on-screen prompt immediately when a user removes his or her finger.
