Female politicians, businesswomen, celebrities and media personalities were among some of the invited guests at this year’s True Love Champagne Breakfast held at the Lord Erroll Gourmet restaurant in Runda, Nairobi.

The exclusive event, which marks the 14th birthday of True Love Magazine, was themed Sex and the City, a famous throwback to the hit television series.

“This is the third year running when we have held the Champagne Breakfast. It is our most exclusive event bringing together readers and movers and shakers to interact and learn something new. The morning is meant to be relaxed and fun with opportunity for networking. This year we wanted to delve into the topic of relationships using a fresh and modern approach that women can relate to, hence the theme Sex and The City,” said Nailantei Kenga, True Love Magazine’s Head of Marketing.

The highlight of the event were inspiring talks by Sally Mahihu and Mary Waceke Muia.  Sally Mahihu, a lawyer and founder of the Seasoned Woman spoke on the topic ‘Marriage: Built To Last’. Life Coach Mary Waceke Muia spoke on the topic, “Why You Keep Attracting The Same Type of Man and How to Break The Cycle’.

“We were happy to partner with the award winning Lord Erroll restaurant that is well known for its gourmet cuisine to celebrate the dynamic and fabulous women who read and have featured in our magazine. The Restaurant resonates well with the True Love brand as both celebrate aspiration and luxury in East Africa,” said Carole Mandi, CEO of Carole Mandi Media Ltd.

The event was sponsored by The Lord Erroll, Barclays Bank, Makari and Oriflame.
