‘Superwoman’ YouTube star takes break to focus on mental health

YouTube star Lilly Singh or popularly known as ‘Superwoman’ says she’s taking a break from the platform to focus on her mental health.

In a video titled “I’ll see you soon…”, published on Monday, Singh tells her viewers that she is “mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausted” by the pressures of  creating YouTube content consistently for eight years.

“This might be a one week break, it might be a one month break. I have no idea,” Singh shared. “Just until my soul feels ready to do so.”

With over 14 million subscribers, the Toronto native is at the forefront of internet celebrities. Singh published the book “How to Be a Bawse” last year, starred in the HBO movie “Fahrenheit 451” and was named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
