A US ice cream parlor is serving blood and insect flavours for Halloween.

Salt & Straw – which is based on the west coast of the United States – has unveiled plans for a ‘Spooktacular Series’ this month, including ‘Dracula’s Blood Pudding’.

Based on Italian dessert sanguinaccio dolce, this treat sees pig’s blood mixed into a spiced ice cream.

Also on the bizarre menu is ‘Creepy Crawly Critters’, which sees them team up with bug treats maker Don Bugito using their chocolate-covered crickets and mealworms.

Both of these are used in a matcha ice cream.

The unique flavours will be available from Friday (05.10.18) until Halloween itself on October 31.
