NYX Professional Makeup Launches Educational Masterclass Program

NYX Professional Makeup today announced the launch of Masterclass, an online educational content library featuring a group of professional makeup artists and top beauty vloggers— the Masters. The program aims to provide consumers of all skill sets with accessible, professional-grade education.

The Masters are comprised of a group of talented makeup artists who excel in their respective fields of expertise—masters of “offline” and “online” artistry. The “offline” artists are those who work as professional makeup artists in entertainment, film, fashion, and the like; the “online” artists are those who excel in social media, whose artistry primarily lives on Instagram and YouTube, with a devoted digital fan base in tow.

By bringing the two worlds of makeup artistry together in a carefully curated online library of educational content, NYX Professional Makeup aims to educate audiences on all aspects of the beloved trade. Whether applying makeup for a YouTube video or a celebrity client’s red carpet appearance, each Master boasts a set of unique skills sure to resonate with NYX Professional Makeup’s audience of aspiring makeup artists and professionals alike.

The online video library will differ from traditional YouTube tutorials by consisting primarily of didactic, technique-focused content—with the intent for consumers to learn the tricks of the trade from the best in the business.

NYX Professional Makeup is proud to announce the 2018 class of Masters: celebrity makeup artists Patrick TaDenika BedrossianJoseph CarrilloSaisha Beecham, and Amber Dreadon; and top beauty vloggers Karen Sarahi GonzalezAngel Merino, Ourfa Zinali, and Nikkie Tutorials.

To launch the program and bring this new activation to life, NYX Professional Makeup will host an in-person masterclass with Patrick Ta and Karen Sarahi Gonzalez (@iluvsarahii) on October 11th at Goya Studios in Los Angeles.

Looking ahead, NYX Professional Makeup will be adding to their library of tutorials with a variety of bilingual videos in early 2019.
