#ASYLUM2018 promises to be the biggest Geek Fest in East Africa

With Comics and Esports taking the world by storm, East Africa is not being left behind. Nairobi Comic Convention (Naiccon), together with Pro Series Gaming (PSG) are organizing the region’s first geek fest dubbed Asylum. This will feature a FIFA 18 tournament, Comics, Film, Cosplay and Animation.

Naiccon has grown to be the biggest East African gathering of comic book fans since 2014, holding an event every year with 2017 being the biggest convention yet. This year Naiccon will break the East African records once again with the convention featuring the great Jason Master, Nick Wilson and exhibitors from all over Kenya.

East Africa’s inaugural eSports tournament held by PSG in Nairobi in December 2017, featured Call of Duty WWII and brought together players from all walks of life to battle it out for bragging rights. In April 2018, PSG saw its second outstanding tournament, which featured Mortal Kombat XL and a prize pool of 1M Ksh.  Zambia’s Justin Banda walked away with a cool 500,000 KSh. and Kenya’s William Omondi coming in at a close second and winning 200,000 Ksh.

Asylum promises more action and a bigger prize pool of KSh 1,600,000 and is set to take place on 11th and 12th August 2018.
