Top 10 Finalists announced for Arab world’s next Digital Super Star

Since registrations opened in December, the number of submissions by aspiring social media content creators to ‘Sadeem’, the Arab world’s biggest digital competition and series, has exceeded 18,000 applications, with applications coming from across the Arab world, and as far as the Solomon Islands.

The applicants are competing for a spot in the first-of-its-kind competition and a chance to take part in Sadeem’s exciting journey of discovery, creativity and digital growth that will culminate in the crowning of the Arab region’s next digital superstar. Targeted at Gen Z, Arabs aged between 15 and 25, Sadeem aims to create a network of young content creators from the Arab world who can realize their potential and achieve their dreams, while spreading a message of hope and positivity across their countries.

Sadeem’s finalists will take home two million riyals worth of prizes, with the first winner walking away with the Grand Prize of 1 Million Riyals and a trip to San Francisco to visit the headquarters of major digital companies in the world. The top 10 content creators will win a contract with Sadeem and will have the opportunity to take their new-found knowledge and recognition to the next level.

After several rounds of challenges, the jury members were able to zero in on the 10 candidates who will compete for the top position in Sadeem Season 1.

Lina Fakahani from Egypt & Walid Fatim from Morocco for Vlogging;

Mohammed Al-Salinifrom Libya & Qassim Al-Hato from Jordan for Travel and Adventure;

Abdullah Jalal from Pakistan, Ali Neyadi from OmanMuthanna Al-Salih from Iraq for Motivation and Inspiration;

Abdulrahman Al Khamis from Kuwait for Innovation and Technology;

Omar Al-Kikhia from Libya for Entertainment;

Zainab Moallem from Algeria for Comedy and Satire

The 10 finalists are currently in the Sadeem ‘Hub’ in Demco Towers competing for audience engagement over a range of challenges such as ‘creativity’, ‘digital growth’ and ‘branded content’. During ‘The Hub’, the finalists are also attending a series of professional workshops conducted by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. The finale will be held on May 12th where the first ever winner of Sadeem will be announced.
