An expert has warned people to stop using toilet paper.
Rose George, author of ‘The Big Necessity: The Unmentionable World of Human Waste and Why It Matters’, revealed that instead of cleaning after using the toilet, paper just moves around the germs.
She told Tonic: “I find it rather baffling that millions of people are walking around with dirty anuses while thinking they are clean.
“Toilet paper moves s**t, but it doesn’t remove it.”
In other countries such as South Korea, Japan, Egypt, Greece and Italy, they opt for using bidets rather than paper.
Bidets are considered to be more environmentally friendly and the water helps to fully clean the bum.
