Introducing the New Faces of Hits Not Homework!

The wait is over!

Tonight marks a brand new start for popular Capital FM show, Hits Not Homework!

After five amazing years at the helm of Hits Not Homework, Amina Abdi-Rabar passes the reigns officially to an all-new crop of Presenters and Producers.

Here are the New Faces of Hits Not Homework!

Anne  – Capital One Winner 2017
Anne Mwaura moved back to Kenya in January of 2017 after studying Performance in Florida. Described as quirky, opinionated and stylish; it has reflected in the various music genres she enjoys. From Nina Simon to Cardi B, her appreciation for a wide range of entertainment allows her to adapt to different generations. A fan of the theater, she enjoys acting as well as watching plays. Anne also enjoys going for concerts and as a self proclaimed “foodie” she is down to try anything (except mushrooms…she’s allergic). Interning as an understudy Judge for the ICJ (International Court of Justice) Hague, Netherlands and Unesco Center for Peace, Anne is interested in the youth getting involved in political matters that affect them. A former junior swimming champion, she has represented Kenya in South Africa’s qualifying competitions. Ann is also an adventure fanatic, she believes if she can jump out of a plane, she can do anything.

Tracy –  Capital One Winner 2017
Tracy Wanjiru is one of TVs finest presenters, an emcee and digital influencer who’s been in the entertainment scene since 2015. She has proven herself to be a triple threat in the industry. Recently transitioning into radio, her love for reggae, hip-hop and RnB keeps audiences entertained. Her quick wit, bubbly persona and down-to-earth character makes her a relatable, energetic, role model to the youth. Thanks to running a youth show “Teen Republik” that airs on NTV every Saturday from 11am to 1pm, this experience has allowed her to interview the likes of Trey Song, Tiwa Savage, Jidenna, and many others. Tracy successfully hosted a Wizkid, Timaya and Diplo concert, which demonstrates how hardworking Tracy is. Her love for fashion has made it easy for her to host ASFA’s 2017 and win various awards from Best Dressed Media Personality in Uganda to On Screen Media Personality in Nigeria. She is passionate about young children especially those who are less fortunate and those living with disabilities. She is currently working with Ubuntu Kids, a center which provides access to essential services and promotes social inclusion for children with special educational and physical needs throughout Kenya.  A star on the rise, Tracy isn’t only taking over Kenya, but the entire industry.

Anita
Anita Nderu, who’s no stranger to the Capital family, is a media personality with a passion for fashion and travel. She works as a TV and Radio Presenter, emcee, voice over artist & social media influencer. Anita has worked in the media industry for the last seven years and currently works at Capital FM as the newest addition to Hits Not Homework and also a presenter at Nation Media as a panelist on The Trend #TTTT. Anita has been named among BBC’s 100 most inspirational and innovative women of 2017. Recently she bagged two awards for Best Dressed Media Personality Kenya at the PIFWA awards and Best Dressed Media Personality Africa at the ABRYANS Awards. When she is not keeping viewers and listeners entertained, she is baking up a storm in her bakery The Confectionery Factory or traveling around the globe documenting her experiences or quenching her love for all things stylish by keeping tabs of the latest fashion and product trends. Her hobbies consist of baking (self-taught courtesy of YouTube), cooking, reading books, trying out adrenaline junkie activities, travelling, mentoring youth, acting and sleeping when it rains!
